Update on me

It's been a long time since I last wrote in here. I am not working on my second master's degree's thesis. I am not sure if writing in this blog regularly makes any sense as it was first created for my Taiwan trip. I have another blog which I update at times, I'd be happy to be followed by my SayTaiwan friends. I write my opinions and thoughts on many issues in that weblog. Click  Here  to see my other blog. Thanks in advance!

It is now a year since I traveled to Taiwan, and I can visibly see how I have changed. I have grown up and gained lots of experience...can't say if I feel good about it or not as I am not as cheerful and happy as before,  but I guess this is a sign of growth and wisdom. Last year at this time I was not a student and now I am, having passed a full academic year and should be doing my internship and writing my thesis this year. Maybe the only worry I have now is my internship. I am not yet sure where I will be doing my internship... I need to complete my research and publish at least one of my works by next August. This is a promise to myself!

The last memorable days in Taiwan

I am writing this post while I am not in Taiwan anymore and am missing it so much... The last days with the whole group of Saytaiwaners were amazing! I think I should start with our Kinmen trip and go to the end. We had a flight to Kinmen island from Chiayi, and we met all the guests and hosts who had stayed in Chiayi in the airport. It was fun to meet the others because we all had wonderful experiences in common! When we arrived to Kinmen, we were welcomed by Say Taiwan volunteers and then we went through the island and stopped now and then to visit places and eat or try some sweets and other stuff like that. We couldn't meet people from the other buses because we were too many and it was not possible for us to be at one place all together. We met some others from other buses at lunch and dinner time though. We stayed at a hotel for the night and my friends and I went out to see what we can do. We met some

Kenting

I had almost 2 independent days in Taiwan! Isabel, Lilya, Kate and I went to Kenting on Saturday morning by bus and train. Daniel was not with us because he went to Taipei to have his own version of fun. We had a 4 hour tour around the city and visited some nice places, like the butterfly garden and the mountain from which you can see a beautiful sunset. We stayed at a youth center Frank had booked for us. The price was fair and it was very clean and comfortable. We spent a lot of our time at the beach and we swam the whole morning. We all burnt and are totally red and painful now :D We also met other SayTaiwan guys like Vaiva and Sam there and came back all together. The beach was very clean and I loved swimming in the ocean. The water was very clear and there was an incredible view in front of us. I enjoyed every moment of my trip and we laughed more than ever and were super happy! Last night after we got back from Kenting,Frank picked us up at the train station

Sun Moon Lake

Sun Moon Lake is called so because it has the shape of the sun and the moon. Today we went there with many other guests and their hosts. It was amazing and I think if you travel to Taiwan, it is absolutely a must see place! Then we had lunch and went to Aboriginal Village! It was great and I couldn't believe they were real. The view was amazing and we got on a cable car to go to the mountains and saw the sun moon lake from above. It was fantastic and I loved it. The cable car was super clean and new! We then went to a Caribbean Water Splash and got into the boat to slide all the way from above! It was exciting and we couldn't even scream because it was so scary for a couple of seconds. I loved it and we all got totally wet, specially by the post splashes after we came down the slide. It was so fun and we laughed so much :) We also went to detonator which was very scary, and I regretted after it went up, but it was so late. Then
