Now I have my ticket to Taiwan. I'll leave Helsinki on the 11th of August and I am going to have a 9h and 50 mins flight from Helsinki to Hong Kong by finnaire and then a 1h and 50 mins flight from Hong Kong to Taipei by Eva air.

I will be staying at Chiayi county and my host is going to be Ms. or Mr. Jui-Long Chang! I emailed them but no replies yet!

The next step is jumping into the plane I guess :D

Oh I need to buy some gifts and provide a traditional costume to wear in the final ceremony...Lets see what I can find!

Update on me

It's been a long time since I last wrote in here. I am not working on my second master's degree's thesis. I am not sure if writing in this blog regularly makes any sense as it was first created for my Taiwan trip. I have another blog which I update at times, I'd be happy to be followed by my SayTaiwan friends. I write my opinions and thoughts on many issues in that weblog. Click  Here  to see my other blog. Thanks in advance!

Visa : Done!

I applied for the visa to Taiwan and it took two working days. Today I got the visa stamped in my passport. The next step is the ticket...Waiting for Alice's email!!

I also tried an ice cream which was salty and had nuts in it. I liked it although the taste was so strange for me! At night we had a barbecue and we helped the locals wrap fish in aluminium and then salt and then on fire. It was really good and I ate a lot. We also barbecued pork, corn, oysters, ...
